Welcome to Hikma Therapy

Hi, and thank you for taking the time to visit my page. My name is Hikma, and I’m here to offer counselling and psychotherapy to individuals who are facing life's challenges. Right now, I’m only available for remote sessions, so no matter where you are, we can connect and work together.

I’m also a single mum to three wonderful children, which brings its own unique challenges, but it’s part of what shapes who I am. Alongside running my own private practice, I also work with a charity, providing emotional support to people who are struggling with their mental health.

Please note: I am a female counsellor only.

A little about me...

I’ve walked a long road in search of a sense of belonging. There were times when I felt mentally and emotionally drained, as if I was carrying the weight of the world, and no one could see it.

Then, life threw me a curveball — a loss that left me feeling stuck and searching for answers in a world that seemed too big and overwhelming.

It was through therapy, both as a client and during my training to become a therapist, that I found a path to healing. It’s been a journey of growth, of learning to face life’s difficulties with a new perspective.

I’ve learned that each phase of life comes with its own challenges, and how we choose to navigate them can make all the difference. We can be overwhelmed by the weight of our emotions, or we can develop healthier ways of coping and growing from those struggles.

I am a registered member of The National Counselling Association and Psychotherapy society (NCPS) and I work within their ethical framework.

I’m passionate about helping others find their own path to healing, and I would be honored to walk alongside you in your journey.

Confidential, non-judgmental environment

As a counsellor, my role is to create a safe, supportive space where you can freely express yourself and embark on a journey of self-discovery. I invite you to share the challenges you're facing in a confidential, non-judgmental environment, where we can work together to explore and uncover new perspectives, fostering a deeper understanding of yourself.

Person-centered approach

With an empathetic, person-centered approach, I am committed to ensuring that you feel heard, valued, and supported throughout our work together. My focus is not to provide solutions or give advice, but rather to empower you to take charge of your own growth and transformation.

Embracing your strengths

By exploring your unique experiences and emotions, you will have the opportunity to connect with your inner strengths, allowing you to make decisions and changes that truly reflect your authentic self.
